I think it's so great to let children have a say in how their space is going to look and function, but I also understand feeling apprehensive. I think the trick is involving them in a way and to the point that you can live with. But when you strike that balance, they will walk away from it with greater confidence, independence, communication skills and cherished memories of time spent together.
